ACAT training for treasurers

ACAT are now into their autumn training programme following a successful summer season.  The ACAT Annual Conference, held in October is also worth attending either in person or from the comfort of your sofa.  Please note a charge does apply for most sessions which should be charged to your PCC as a governance cost.

The autumn training programme and annual conference is now available, to book onto a session, please visit the ACAT website

ACAT sessions are not recorded so to fully benefit you will need to attended each live webinar. We will continue to advise you of the latest session through the e-bulletin.

If you are new to the role of Treasurer or feel it helpful for other members of your PCC to understand your role, the Association of Church Accountants and Treasurers (ACAT) provide an introductory Guide for New Church Treasurers available here.

The Diocese of Durham provides block membership to ACAT for all parish treasurers. ACAT, the charity for Treasurers of Christian churches, provide members with advice, training and information on accounting, financial, legal and other related issues. Treasures will need a ‘block member’ code to access to log in the ACAT. Please contact for your block member code.

The Diocese Finance Resources Team offer training on specific areas and sessions will be publicised here along with information from previous training events. We can also answer your queries and signpost you to helpful resources. Please contact a member of the team.

As a treasurer, what training would you be interested in this year?  Further courses can be arranged on request. Please contact Samantha Amsden.
