Did you know that the Diocese have a seed-funding scheme for parishes wanting to engage in mission and evangelism?
Taking our first steps with a new mission initiative can be daunting, and when money is tight, what stops us is not so much our creativity and commitment as the thought of how much it might cost. Diocesan Mission Microgrants of up to £500 (sometimes more) are available for parishes and benefices to apply for, to help you make a start. To find out more about the guidelines and criteria for applying or to download an application form, visit our Mission Microgrants page.
Would you like support ministering to 'estate parishes'?
In 2018/19, steps were taken to create a learning and support network for people ministering in estate parishes across the Diocese. ‘Estate parishes’ in this Diocese is a stretchable term, embracing and including our many so-called ‘post-industrial’ communities and others characterised by the social and economic challenges they face. Find out more by visiting our Durham Estate Churches Network page.
