Gospel Choir Returns to The Pulse

Earlier this month we had another wonderful night at the Cathedral for this term’s Pulse youth event.

The amazing Voices of Virtue Gospel Choir returned for a second time and gave a stunning performance of classics such as Happy Day, I will follow Him and Shackles as well as more contemporary worship songs like Living Hope and Waymaker. Choir Leader Chichi spoke powerfully from Psalm 23 about the closeness of God in all the circumstances of life. During the prayer time we all went down to the beautiful Galilee Chapel and the prayer activities were all based around James chapter 4, including v8, ‘Come near to God and he will come near to you.’ At the end, Bishop Sarah gave a word of encouragement to everyone about knowing the presence of God in our daily lives.

Once again our thanks go to the Voices of Virtue Gospel Choir, to Tim Cullingworth and team for all the tech, all who helped with the hot chocolate, prayer activities and stewards and of course to the amazing vergers at the Cathedral for all their help.

The next date for the Pulse is Sunday 26th March. It is open to all young people y7+ across the diocese, in small groups or large.
