St Cuthbert's Darlington - Youth & Chaplaincy Lead

Posted on behalf of St Cuthbert's Darlington

Can you walk alongside young people with a passion to see them flourish in Christ?

St Cuthbert’s is a growing church in the centre of Darlington with a heart for young people and a vision for transformation. We’re looking for a Youth and Chaplaincy Lead who will be a bridge between church and school. Investing in the spiritual and emotional wellbeing of students, leading discipleship, and helping young people grow in faith.

This exciting role will be based within the staff team at St Cuthbert’s and focus on building strong relationships with St Aidan’s Church of England Academy. You will shape and lead the role, spending a large proportion of your time in school, offering pastoral care, creating spaces for discipleship and providing opportunities for young people to explore faith in relevant and engaging ways. From these relationships, you will lead the development of outreach and missional opportunities that support young people in deeper discipleship.

If you’re someone who loves Jesus, connects easily with young people, and has the heart to pioneer new things—we’d love to hear from you. This post is part of a new initiative to place young people at the heart of our church’s mission.

We are looking for someone who understands and can creatively imagine new ways of connecting faith, life and mission, who has a desire to see young people grow in relationship with Jesus and help them to live out our mission of becoming more like Jesus.

The postholder will be required to travel within the Darlington area. Evening and weekend working is expected.
