The Diocese of Durham is seeking a Growing Leadership Strategic Lead.
The Diocese of Durham is seeking an innovative and strategic leader with a passion for developing leaders and substantive experience of leadership to take on a key new role in the Diocesan team.
As Growing Leadership Strategic Lead, you will work collaboratively to develop and enable the delivery of the Growing Leadership stream of the Diocesan Transformation programme, with a specific focus on the development and implementation of the Growing Leadership strategy including oversight of the Vocations strategy and being a key enabler of collaborative working.
The successful candidate will lead the Growing Leadership team and enable the development of all training programmes and pathways for clergy and lay, including vocations, lifelong learning and wellbeing. You will be an advocate for the vision of transformation throughout the Diocese.
The successful candidate must:
- Have a deep commitment to a personal Christian faith with a motivation to see that grow in others, and a prayerful and hopeful response to challenge.
- Have extensive leadership experience and appropriate ministerial/theological training
- Be a strategic and efficient organiser with great initiative.
- Be experienced in building and leading teams and an excellent team player.
- Demonstrate an ability to work within a healthy, transparent culture and follow best practice in safeguarding, conduct and HR.
- Be able to travel widely throughout the Diocese of Durham
