Rector of Stanley, South Moor and Tanfield

The Acting Bishop of Durham seeks a Rector of Stanley, South Moor and Tanfield.

The Acting Bishop of Durham invites applications for the position of Rector for the new benefice of Stanley, South Moor and Tanfield.  This is an exciting new post to serve the people of Stanley and the surrounding area; enabling and growing the congregations of two churches; St Andrew Stanley and St Margaret of Antioch Tanfield.

The new Rector will build a missional vision, enabling that vision to be communicated and implemented across the parishes, and there is the opportunity to draw on missional investment as part of the diocesan ‘Called to Fruitfulness’ strategy.

The rectory is a detached house next to St Andrew Stanley, within easy reach the Town Centre and a couple of miles from Tanfield.

The Diocese of Durham is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults. All post holders and volunteers are expected to share this commitment.
