Priest in Charge for Brancepeth, St Brandon

The Acting Bishop of Durham invites applications for the position of Priest in Charge to serve the parish of St Bandon, Brancepeth.

This is a part-time role, which could be joined with another role: one possibility being the part-time chaplain’s role at St Chad’s College, Durham.

St Brandon, Brancepeth is a beautiful church building, serving the village and surrounding area, and enjoys its deep connections with the neighbouring Brancepeth Castle and its community.

The church is working with a future vision, enthusiasm, and commitment to serve the people and places of their neighbourhood. There is a ministry team of ordained and lay colleagues working together to discern and enable missional growth.

The vicarage is a pleasant and well-maintained property. It is a short walk from the church and five miles from the centre of Durham City.
