An 18-year-old musician, who started his journey aged ten as apprentice organist at St. Mary's Gainford, has been awarded a prestigious scholarship at St. David’s Cathedral in Wales.

Children flourish at St. Alban's Holiday Club

This summer, St Alban’s Church in Windy Nook hosted a holiday club that brought children together to explore creativity, build friendships, and grow in confidence. The club was funded by the government’s Holiday Activities and Food Programme (HAF) and Communities Together Durham, and delivered in partnership with theatre company Damn Cheek.

Northern Lights shine bright at sold-out debut concert

The Northern Lights Community Choir, launched in January 2025, held its much-anticipated debut concert on Sunday, 13 July at St Mark’s Church, Darlington. The sell-out event, attended by over 200 people, was a joyful celebration of music, community and wellbeing.
