Durham Diocese is committed to further engaging with younger generations, in line with scripture, where young people often feature strongly in God’s purposes.
Our Engaging Children, Youth and Young Adults priority has three facets:
- Developing discipleship pathways – enabling more children, youth and young adults to become lifelong disciples of Jesus (Psalm 78; Psalm 144:12).
- Resourcing children and youth for mission – enabling all to be part of God’s call to to reach out (Acts 2:39).
- Extending engagement with young adults – enabling this generation to explore faith and become active participants in the life and mission of our churches (Joel 2:28; 1 Timothy 4:12).
