Jack Willoughby, 14, recently completed a section of his Bronze Duke of Edinburgh award following three months of volunteering at St Barnabas church, Bournmoor.
Revd Catherine Walton (right) presented Jack with a signed section of his award booklet after he assisted with the collection, lit candles, greeted the congregation and helped clean up after service.
Jack said: “I am grateful that I was given the opportunity to volunteer at St Barnabas church which has allowed me to complete the volunteering part of my Bronze Duke of Edinburgh award.
“I didn't know what to expect when I first started but once I got to know what tasks I had to do each week I really enjoyed it.
“I am still going to volunteer there when I can.”
