The partnership between GATHER, The Hearth, and The Auckland Project has matured over the last two years into a reliable rhythm of pilgrimage. We are excited to share a new experience day this spring as we return to Bishop Auckland on March 13th. There is a genuine sense of anticipation from our team about journeying alongside those who attend; we've seen firsthand how these days foster deep connection, and the feedback from past events continues to be a real encouragement.
We have shaped this particular day for carers and anyone who recognises a need to stop and rejuvenate. When you spend your life looking after others—whether professionally or within your own family—it is easy for your own reserves to run dry. This pilgrimage is an intentional day of rest, offering the space to step away from daily pressures and find renewal.
Our time together is rooted in Christian language and led by practising Christians, yet remains accessible to those of all faiths or none. If you are spiritually curious or looking for a way to engage with the world more deeply, you will find a warm welcome. We utilise the remarkable locations of the Auckland Castle gardens and the Faith Museum to help us notice the beauty in Creation and reflect on our own stories.
