GATHER Church Teesdale has announced a new partnership with The Hearth, part of The Auckland Project in Bishop Auckland, to promote wellbeing through a series of pilgrimage experiences each year. The initiative is designed especially for caregivers and those living with mental and emotional health challenges.
The first wellbeing pilgrimage will take place on Saturday 15th November in and around The Auckland Palace estate, including visits to the Mining Art Gallery and Spanish Art Gallery. The day will offer opportunities for rest, reflection and connection through activities such as guided walks in the palace gardens, shared meals, art workshops, and time for personal storytelling.
The pilgrimage will conclude with a gathering around the fire pit to reflect on the day’s journey, followed by a further indoor gathering at The Hearth two weeks later.
“This is very much a journey of faith,” said organisers from GATHER Church. “We want to see where God leads us and discover who we can walk alongside to support those for whom life can be a struggle.”
